Later it turned out that the deputy had acquired and kept the weapon illegally. According to preliminary data, no one was hurt.

On September 30, another member of parliament, Garry Kokaya, opened fire from a pistol near a restaurant on the embankment of Sukhum. According to the Abkhaz Telegram channels, police officers led by Dmitry Dbar arrived at the noise. A fight broke out between the deputy and the minister, as a result of which Kokaya was injured. At the sight of the police officers, Kokai behaved aggressively, refused to surrender his weapon and fled the scene.
