Stand-up comedian Slava Komissarenko admitted that he left TNT due to burnout

Popular stand-up comedian Slava Komissarenko revealed reasons for his departure from the TNT channel. In an interview with journalist and blogger Yuri Dudyu, he admitted that he left TV due to burnout. The recording of the conversation is available on the YouTube channel “vDud”.

“In the StandUp show on TNT, your dream comes true first. But then this is replaced by the laws of television, which are based on the need to issue volumes. And you give them out, and then you start to burn out, self-repetitions begin, “Komissarenko admitted.

As an example, he cited a situation when a comedian had two weeks to work out a new stand-up. He considered the option of working on a more complex topic and tried to look at it from some more unusual angle, but realized that in case of failure he would lose seven to eight days of work.

“And after that you will find yourself without a monologue, and then you will be asked where the material is. And you are forced to follow the path of least resistance: what about my girl? We baked muffins, we were funny returning from vacation … That is, it was not reflected in the jokes, because they were funny, but the topics became more commonplace. And you start to get angry, “- said Komissarenko.

He added that he tried to look at the situation through the eyes of the TNT leadership and realized that” this is just how television works. ” At the same time, according to him, there was an even more loyal attitude towards the participants of the StandUp project: they were allowed to do 20 episodes a year, while the Comedy Club aired 40-50 programs.

In the same episode, Komissarenko said that he had bought an apartment near the Arbat in the center of Moscow. He noted that he was able to save up for real estate in the capital thanks to his thrift. He did not spend his earnings on expensive clothes, travel and business class flights.
