According to the mother, a few days ago the telephone scammers called her and fraudulently obtained the data to access the bank account on which the accumulated amount was stored. Then the woman was transferred to an alleged bank branch, where she was asked to dictate the codes that would come to her phone. At the same time, the victim noted that the operator asked not to dictate codes to her, but to speak only after a beep – supposedly, this is how the computer will start working.
At the end of the conversation, the victim was asked not to talk about what had happened so as not to spoil the bank's reputation , and promised that they would conduct an investigation, and in the morning they would contact her.
The Metropolitan Prosecutor's Office opened a criminal case, but there is no result yet. The department reported that they control the course of the investigation of a criminal case of theft committed from a bank account on a large scale.
Earlier it became known that in Yekaterinburg a large sum of money was stolen from an 85-year-old siege of Leningrad – 1.2 million rubles. The scammers pretended to be the victim's niece, who, according to legend, had an accident crossing the road at a red light and I was hit by a car. In this fictional accident, the driver, a woman pregnant with twins, was injured. To prevent the false niece from being jailed, 800 and 400 thousand rubles from the pensioner.
