Turkey refuses to consider itself guilty of migration crisis

Turkish Foreign Ministry: Ankara has nothing to do with the migration crisis on the border with Poland

Ankara has nothing to do with the migration crisis at the border of Belarus and Poland and refuses to consider himself guilty of what is happening. This was stated by representatives of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, quoted by Reuters.

“We deny all attempts to portray Turkey as a party involved in [the transfer of migrants to the border of the European Union],” the Foreign Ministry said, recalling that the republic itself has sheltered about four million Syrian refugees.

This is how the Foreign Ministry commented on the accusations against the Turkish air carrier Turkish Airlines. After another influx of refugees to the borders of the European Union, a number of Western media published materials according to which they may impose sanctions against Turkish Airlines for transporting migrants. According to the corporation's statement, it has nothing to do with what is happening at the border.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu also made a refutation. Ankara even offered Warsaw to send a special commission to Turkey to check the involvement of the Turkish state in this situation.
