Russia denied rumors about planning an invasion of Ukraine

Diplomat Polyansky: Russia did not plan and does not plan a military invasion of Ukraine the allegedly planned military invasion of Ukraine by Moscow. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Polyansky said that Russia has never planned and is not planning a military invasion of Ukraine.

“I never planned and never will, if we are not provoked by Ukraine or someone else and it will not be a matter of protecting our national sovereignty, “the diplomat assured.

He noted that a large number of threats come from Ukraine. In addition, Polyansky added, one should not forget about US warships operating provocatively in the waters of the Black Sea. “So every day it is very difficult to avoid a direct clash in the Black Sea,” the diplomat emphasized.

Polyansky also stressed that Russia has the right to concentrate troops anywhere on its territory.

Earlier the possibility of Russia's invasion in the near future was assessed by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavel Klimkin. He believes that there is no need to worry about this. At the same time, Klimkin said that in the spring Russia pulled up “a colossal amount of weapons” to the borders of Ukraine.
