State Duma Committee on Youth Policy approved a work plan until the end of the year

The State Duma Committee on Youth Policy approved the directions of activity in the autumn session

The State Duma Committee on Youth Policy held its third meeting on November 10, during which the Committee members approved measures to implement the main activities in the autumn session.

“Most of the meetings of the Committee will be offsite – in the places where the youth work. The nearest one will be held on November 17 at the National Research Technological University “MISiS” as part of the International Students Day. We will discuss the protection of the rights and interests of Russian students. Before the meeting, I and the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov will hold a meeting with the leaders of the students. This will be an open meeting, with an online broadcast, where we will answer the questions that will be asked in social networks, ”said Committee Chairman Artem Metelev.

The next offsite meeting will be held on December 3 at the #MYVMESTE International Civil Participation Forum. It will take place at the Moscow Central Exhibition Hall “Manezh” as part of the International Volunteer Day. At this meeting, the deputies will discuss issues of supporting the volunteer movement in Russia, accounting for the contribution of NGOs and volunteers to GDP and the possibility of encouraging volunteers with an additional day of vacation.

The Committee also appealed to the Council of the State Duma and proposed to hold parliamentary hearings on the development of the volunteer movement in the country on December 6, as part of the Volunteer Day. Leaders of all factions of the State Duma, federal ministries, the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs (Rosmolodezh) and other departments, as well as participants of the # MYVMESTE International Forum, are invited to participate. As part of the hearings, an exhibition on the development of the volunteer movement “Support and development of the volunteer movement in Russia” will be held.

On December 15, the Committee plans to hold a visiting session on the development of youth infrastructure in the Tver region. The meeting participants will discuss the state of the infrastructure for youth policy, the construction of youth centers, the renovation of children's camps, the introduction of the federal standard for youth policy, and much more.

Also in December, the members of the Committee are going to hold a meeting dedicated to youth parliamentarism, at which the Chairman of the Youth Parliament under the State Duma of the Russian Federation Dmitry Shatunov will talk about the results of the previous convocation of parliament and current initiatives.

“For three months of the Committee's work, we are with we will work out a number of priority topics: youth employment, student support, the development of the volunteer movement and youth infrastructure. The result for each will be legislative initiatives and decisions aimed at supporting young people, “- said the chairman of the Committee Artem Metelev.

He also announced the first results of the Committee's work: The United Russia party faction supported the allocation of 3 billion rubles for dedicated events and another 3 billion rubles. for the annual renovation of hostels: this amount will be enough for the annual provision of 100 thousand square meters of premises. And the government approved the allocation of 250 million rubles for the “Russian student detachments”.
