Merkel asked Putin to influence Lukashenka in connection with the migration crisis 
Acting German Chancellor Angela Merkel commented on the migration crisis on the Belarusian-Polish border. This is reported by RIA Novosti.
According to Merkel, she asked the Russian leader to influence the head of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in connection with the situation with migrants. She also noted that events on the border between the European Union (EU) and Belarus give cause for concern.
