The final stage of the Big Change competition has begun in Artek

The final stage of the competition “Big Change” for high school students has begun in “Artek” Grades 9-11.

The guests of the ceremony were the head of the presidential department for public projects Sergey Novikov, the head of the Big Change project, the director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Rospatriotcenter Natalia Mandrova, the deputy general director of the ANO Russia – the Land of Opportunities Anton Serikov and executive director of the Russian movement of schoolchildren Irina Plescheva.

The opening ceremony kicked off the four-day program of the Big Change Final, which is being held at Artek for the second year in a row. The program of events includes motivational discussions, educational and creative workshops, which will be held for schoolchildren by scientists, journalists, artists, artists, athletes, bloggers and representatives of social movements.

“I want to congratulate each of you on reaching the finals of this large-scale competition, which brought together more than 2.5 million children from all over Russia. You are among the finalists, which means that you have successfully completed all the competition tasks. You are already the best! ” – Tatiana Golikova, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, sent her greetings to the finalists.

Sergei Novikov noted that the final of the competition brought together the project partners, including the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, State Corporation Roskosmos, JSC Russian Railways, VKontakte and many others.

“Today, 1,500 authors of changes from all over the country, from every region of our Motherland have gathered in“ Artek ”. You have five brightest days ahead of you. You are waiting for motivating lectures, tests, case solutions, a show of robots, a musical that has already become traditional and this year is called Dreamers, ”Sergei Novikov turned to the finalists. – Each of you at home is waiting for your support group: your parents, your relatives, your friends. I want to thank them, I am sure that the rays of support they send you from your home will reach you, and this support will help you show your best qualities and win the Big Change 2021 competition. 1,500 high school students from all over Russia who have passed the distance stages of the Big Change and full-time semi-finals take part in the decisive stage of the competition. Having united in teams of “change creators”, the finalists will solve case studies in 4 directions (“Art and Creativity”, “Educational Technologies”, “Habitat”, “Society”) and develop projects that will help improve various spheres of public life.

The head of the Big Change project, Natalia Mandrova, congratulated the schoolchildren on the final of the competition: Big Change is much more than just a competition. Here they do not appreciate, but appreciate – and these are not just words. Everyone who has lived these one and a half years since the beginning of the “Big Change” knows that we are all united by friendship, camaraderie, real human qualities, such as mutual support, the desire to make the world in which we live a better place. Anton Serikov, Deputy Director General of the ANO “Russia – the Land of Opportunities”, addressed the contestants: “Each of you has been involved in the“ Big Change ”since the spring of this year. You have already overcome distance tests and face-to-face semi-finals at iconic school locations across the country. You have rightfully become the finalists, each of you deserves it. The competition for a place in the finals was truly colossal – thousands of schoolchildren for 1st place. And this is more than in any university in our country. I wish each of you to receive new knowledge, interesting acquaintances at the competition, as well as a boost of energy for many years to come. Our platform has prepared for you many activities for each of the finals days: lectures and motivational meetings with the winners of the Leaders of Russia competition, master classes from the TopBLOG and Culture Code projects. All days of the competition, the stand of the Russia – Country of Opportunities platform will be open. In addition, here you can register for platform projects. For each of you, everything is just beginning with the “Big Change”.

For the first time, within the framework of the finals, the first meeting of the All-Russian community “Big Change” will take place, in which the leaders of the regional teams of “Big Change”, participants of the Children's Directorate of the project, graduates – winners of the first season of the competition, teachers-mentors of the winners of the “Big Change” and finalists of the second season will take part Competition.
The premiere of the musical “Dreamers” will also take place in “Artek” with the participation of the popular performer Vanya Dmitrienko and 40 contestants of the “Big Change” – winners of the All-Russian casting of talent.

According to the results of the final, 600 high school students will become winners – 300 students of 11 grades and 300 – 9-10 grades. Students in grades 11 will receive 1 million rubles each, which they can use for education, and students in grades 9-10 will receive 200 thousand rubles each for education and self-development. The teachers who prepared the winners of the Big Change will receive 150 thousand rubles each, and the top 30 schools, according to the results of the rating assessment, will receive 2 million rubles each for the development of the educational environment.
The opening ceremony ended with the performance of rapper ST and the finalist of Big Change Anna Shkarina, who performed the composition “Universe” together.
