Medvedev approved the program “Digital economy”
Moscow. July 31. INTERFAX.RU Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said that approved the program “Digital economy”, designed to 2024.
“As a result, we must have a fully digital environment — it now develops, in recent years we have made a serious step forward. However, this movement is to accelerate, will eliminate the existing barriers for the successful development of digital infrastructure,” — said Medvedev at a meeting with Deputy Prime Ministers on Monday.
The programme aims to provide support through technology, he recalled. “This so-called “big data,” quantum computers, which are now a lot of talk, but so far no one has managed to create them, but it is obvious that sooner or later it will happen; new production techniques, artificial intelligence,” — said Medvedev.
In the future, according to him, the program will complement projects primarily in healthcare, public administration, the creation of “smart cities”. “Putting the economy in figure — matter of our global competitiveness and national security,” — said Medvedev.
