New us law on sanctions against Russia is unacceptable, as it affects the interests of the European companies, said the foreign Minister of Germany, Sigmar Gabriel. On Friday, July 28, according to Spiegel.
“Our position still is that we will not tolerate extraterritorial application of us sanctions against European companies”, — said the head of the German foreign Ministry.
He added that the US President Donald Trump, the state Department and the administration of the head of state is known.
“The sanctions policy is not a suitable or appropriate tool for advancing national interests in the sphere of export or own energy industry”, — concluded the Minister.
The concern of the European countries is the situation the new U.S. law on sanctions, under which the sanctions can also be applied to companies from the EU. The bill provides for several limitations.
