Moldova has denied entry to Russian artists and MP
Border, the Moldovan authorities have denied entry to the territory of the Russian state Duma Deputy from LDPR Pavel Shperova. It is reported Omega Media group, citing a source in the interior Ministry of Moldova.
According to him, the Deputy did not miss in the airport of Chisinau and without explanation “expelled on the next flight to Moscow.” The spokesman added that the border authorities have also detained 10 people who were sent from Moscow to the cities of Transnistria.
According to the publication noi.md, in addition to Paul Shperova, entry refused the group of artists who wanted to participate in activities in Transnistria. In the border police publication explained that the Russians denied entry due to the fact that they “have not indicated the purpose of the visit” and did not meet the “prerequisites” for entry into the country.
Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin in his Twitter said that “instructed Proposalsto to intervene immediately to resolve the situation” around artists in Moldova.
In turn, the President of Moldova Igor Dodon has condemned the detention of the Russians at the airport of Chisinau. He stated this on his page in Facebook. “See these actions as another provocation aimed at disrupting the recovery process of the Moldovan-Russian relations, which continue to develop successfully”, — he wrote.
He apologized in connection with the incident and added that tomorrow, on 28 July, intends to “deal with each such case”. “The perpetrators of tyranny will be punished”, he concluded.
