The President’s special representative on transport issues, ecology and environmental protection Sergei Ivanov said that 98% of the harmful emissions into the atmosphere in Moscow falls on road transport, “Interfax”.
At the meeting with the youth public chamber of Russia, Ivanov noted that Moscow is in the top ten dysfunctional Russian cities in terms of air pollution.
“We are currently monitoring the air in 225 cities of Russia. A dozen regions we have the most affluent. Forgive me (the Moscow mayor) Sergei Sobyanin, Moscow is included in this list,” – said Ivanov.
However, he noted that the capital is practically no industry but 98% of harmful emissions have on the car.
