France will begin to issue visas to Russians for two days
The French authorities will reduce the period of issuing tourist visas for up to two days for the citizens of the ten foreign countries, including Russia. The Prime Minister of France Edouard Philippe said during the presentation of the government’s plan to increase the attractiveness of France to tourists.
“We take the obligation to issue visas within 48 hours for the ten new countries, including Russia,” — said the head of government. According to the press service of the Ministry of tourism of France, the terms of the visa deadline will be established during the highest tourist flow. In other periods the period for issuing visas will not exceed ten days.
The transition to the new visa application will begin November 1, 2017 for Russia, Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Burma, India and Indonesia. From 30 June 2018, the regime will spread to Saudi Arabia and Vietnam. As specify in the Ministry, “boost mode” since last year, is already in force for citizens of Singapore, South Africa, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman and Turkey.
The Ministry intend to reduce the norm time for passport control at French airports for up to 30 minutes for citizens of EU countries and up to 45 minutes for the citizens of other States from 1 January 2018.
