MP reported on depriving Saakashvili of Ukrainian citizenship

Moscow. July 26. INTERFAX.RU — Ex-President of Georgia, former Governor of the Odessa region Mikhail Saakashvili is deprived of Ukrainian citizenship, said the MP from the Radical party Igor Mosiychuk, citing its own sources.

“I confirm that this is true… Saakashvili was deprived of Ukrainian citizenship, and it shows that President Petro Poroshenko finally started to admit their own mistakes. He illegally gave our citizenship and is now solely corrects its own errors” — wrote Mosiychuk was admitted on Facebook.

Later, an informed source in an interview with “Interfax” has confirmed this information.

“Indeed, there is such a solution. The decree (Poroshenko) has already been signed”, — said the source Agency on Wednesday.

The publication also confirms this information citing its own sources in the presidential administration of Ukraine, according to which deprivation of nationality was based on the clause 2, article 19 of the citizenship act: “the Acquisition of citizenship of Ukraine on the basis of article 9 of this Law as a result of deception, the deliberate submission of false information or forged documents”.

“Interfax” does not yet have confirmation of this information from official structures.

Citizenship of Ukraine was granted a decree of President Petro Poroshenko may 30, 2015. The same day Poroshenko appointed Saakashvili, head of the Odessa regional state administration.
