A US Navy ship fired at an Iranian boat in the Persian Gulf

A patrol ship of the U.S. Navy Thunderbolt fired several warning shots at Iranian vessel in the Persian Gulf. About it reports Reuters referring to own sources.

According to the interlocutor of the Agency, the fire was opened after the Iranian boat, despite warnings, came to us at a distance of about 140 meters. On victims in the incident is not reported.

On 6 March it was reported that a ship of the U.S. Navy in the Strait of Hormuz was captured by ships of the Islamic revolution guards Corps (IRGC) of Iran and was forced to change course. Iranian ships approached to a distance of 550 meters from the ship measuring complex “invincible” (Invincible) and stopped.

In order to avoid collision of the ship and following in marching order three ships of the British Navy were forced to change course. American sailors tried to get in contact with the Iranian colleagues on radio, but received no response. The Pentagon called the actions of the Iranians “dangerous and unprofessional.”
