The state Department has denied reports about the intention Tillerson to resign
MOSCOW, 25 Jul — RIA Novosti. The representative of the US state Department has denied to CNN that U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson plans to retire.
CNN, citing sources, reported earlier that Tillerson is probably considering the possibility of retiring from the post of Secretary of state because of disagreements with the White house, “including a new debate on policy toward Iran” and personnel policy of his Department. In addition, according to the channel, the Secretary called unprofessional recent public statements by the President of the United States Donald trump addressed to the attorney General Jeff and Roman sessions.
The sources of the TV channel said that before his departure Tillerson intend to reorganize the state Department, because there is, in his opinion, there is no discipline, and staff shy away from making decisions.
Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, making comments on information on possible resignation Tillerson, said that no official statements about it were not, and called such reports unfounded.
