Unknown with a chainsaw attacked passers-by in Switzerland
In Switzerland the unknown with a chainsaw attacked the people in the centre of Schaffhausen, in the East of the country. As a result, several people were injured.
As reported by Reuters, citing data from the local police, in the attack five people were injured, two seriously.
The newspaper Blick claims that the assailant, whose identity is not yet established, attacked people with a chainsaw. After the attack he managed to escape. The police had blocked the centre of Schaffhausen and began searching for the perpetrator.
The motives of the attack are still unknown. A spokesman for the local police Cindy bir said that nothing can be confirmed. “We know only that five people were injured”.
In connection with the situation in located near the German border, the city is bringing in additional police units from neighbouring cantons — Thurgau, Winterthur, Zurich.
