“The text of the original version of the bill was poorly written, added Sanders. But we got to work with the House of representatives and the Senate, and the administration is pleased that it was able to make the necessary changes, and we support the bill in its current form”.
On 22 July the press service of the office of the leader of the Republican majority in the House of representatives Kevin McCarthy (Calif.) confirmed that the vote on the bill will take place on 25 July. The American edition of “Politico” reported that the impasse with this initiative resolved. However, Congress has not included at the request of the White house, provisions that will facilitate the process of lifting the sanctions against Russia.
According to the newspaper, in the final draft, originally included restrictions against Iran, sanctions against the DPRK, as proposed earlier, McCarthy. It is expected that on Tuesday a majority in the lower house of Congress will support this document.
