Pentagon: Russia is a serious threat to the United States
The Chairman of the joint chiefs of staff of the armed forces of the United States Joseph Dunford called Russia a serious threat to the United States. He told about it during the security forum the Aspen Institute.
“When someone asked me what is the most serious threat to us, I replied that, from the point of view of state actors — Russia, and I said that due to the presence of the nuclear potential, the availability of cyber capabilities, what they did in Georgia what they did in the Crimea, and of what’s going on in Ukraine currently,” said Dunford.
He added that today there is no possibility to select only one area which is “challenged” and “in the aggregate capacity and capability, in the future, Russia is most capable public entity, we face”.
