Abnormally cold weather in Central Russia affected the business world’s largest manufacturer of lawn mowers, electric saws and garden equipment — the Swedish Husqvarna. This was stated by the CEO of the company Kai Worn in the course of communication with investors in the second quarter of 2017. As noted Worn in the 2017 season turned out to be colder than usual in Europe and North America. “Of course, there are specific markets that are affected by the weather — like Russia, which really was snow until June,” he said. Despite this, overall results in Europe were “average”, and the end of the quarter was more favourable.

Husqvarna is not the first business community who complain about the weather in Russia. So, retailers have stated that two to three times the reduced ice-cream sales, less demand for fans and air conditioners, summer clothing collections and mosquito repellant.
