Nemtsov’s daughter appealed the verdict on the case of his murder
She believes that this crime was qualified as an encroachment on life of the statesman.
Moscow. July 21. INTERFAX.RU — representatives of the daughters of opposition politician Boris Nemtsov Jeanne appealed the verdict of the five defendants in the case of his murder, have informed “Interfax” the lawyer Olga Mikhailova.
“Us as representatives Jeanne Nemcova filed an appeal on the verdict of the Moscow district military court, in which we ask to cancel a sentence and to return business in office of public Prosecutor”, — said Mikhailov on Friday.
“We strongly disagree with the actions of the accused under article 105 of the criminal code (murder) and believe that their actions should be qualified under article 277 of the criminal code of Russian Federation (an encroachment on life state or the public figure), given that Boris Nemtsov was a Deputy of the Yaroslavl regional Duma, the co-Chairman of the party “PARNAS”, — said the lawyer.
Mikhailov recalled that she, together with his colleague Vadim Prokhorov as representatives Nemcova repeatedly asked about the reclassification of charges, including in the Moscow district military court.
Nemtsov was killed on February 27, 2015 on the Big Moskvoretsky bridge in the vicinity of the Kremlin.
The Moscow district military court on July 13 appointed Zaur Dadaev, a recognised jury, in the execution of Nemtsov’s murder, 20 years in a strict regime colony. Other defendants in the case received sentences ranging from 11 to 19 years of imprisonment.
