In Russia in the first five months of 2017 recorded a significant excess of deaths over births. It is stated in the materials on the website of Rosstat.
For a specified period died 791 thousand inhabitants, were born 679,2 thousand. The population declined by 31.1 thousand, or 0.02 per cent, to $ 146,8 million.
The Agency notes the increase in the natural population decline. The figure for January-may made up 111,8 thousands of employees, almost three times more than in the same period last year.
This migration gain in 72.2% compensated numerical losses of the population. Natural population growth was recorded in 21 subjects.
