Members of the Communist party of China (CPC) ordered to abandon religious beliefs. This was reported in the official newspaper of the CPC Central Committee magazine “Sushi”, the contents of notes, reports Global Times.
“Party members should not have religious beliefs, is a red line for all party members. They must be convinced Marxist-atheists, to obey the rules of the party and to follow its ideology. To find the value in religion is forbidden”, — wrote in the journal the Director of the state administration for religious Affairs Wang Czoan.
According to him, the faithful party members should give up their beliefs, and disobeyed will be punished. Wang points out: religion must be regulated by the state and “cityservice”, and believers in their beliefs we must look for the tenets of promoting social harmony and development.
China is officially an atheist state, but for ordinary citizens limited freedom of religion are still valid. According in 2016, the CCP is 88,7 million.
