Petya virus attacked Sevastopol

Computer virus Petya attacked the servers of the government of Sevastopol. This was reported on the official portal of the state Agency.

According to representatives of the government, the team successfully repelled the attack, allowing state data is not compromised. The head of Informatization Department, Denis Timofeev said that the attack was committed on 14 July. He assured her quickly localized.

“Attack of the virus have been unsuccessful largely because we use solutions based on Linux”, – he said.

Global hacking attack using the virus-the extortioner Petya occurred on June 27. It was reported that the virus attacked some 80 companies, most of whom were Ukrainian. In Russia, the effects of the virus were “Rosneft”, “Bashneft” and several banks. Petya also spread to USA, some countries of Europe and Asia.
