The creation of the state of Ruthenia in the territory of the self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk national republics (LNR and DND) is a step toward Ukraine’s federalization, said a member of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Sergei Tsekov. This opinion he expressed in an interview with “Tape.ru” on Tuesday, July 18.
“Ukraine has two ways out of the disastrous situation in which she found herself: first federalization. Hurt different Ukraine in the South, North, East and West,” said the Senator. The second condition is the restoration of relations with Moscow in all fields, he added.
According to Tsekov, the decision on creation of the Ukraine “Kiev pushes for federalization”. “Life itself proves that this kind of education as the new Russia has the right to life,” — said the MP. He expressed the hope that with time it will recognize the leadership of Ukraine.
Member of the Federation Council also questioned the fact that it will harm the residents of Donbass: “how Much worse can it? They are already under siege”.
The international community, in his opinion, the creation of the self-proclaimed state will react negatively, although German and French politicians talked about the need for decentralization of Ukraine.
Earlier Tuesday, the head of DNR Alexander Zakharchenko announced the establishment of the Ukraine. A new state, you need to create three years to emerge from the impasse in Ukraine, he said.
