A hacker attack on the state news Agency of Qatar (Qatar News Agency, QNA) that occurred on 24 may and triggered a diplomatic row, was organized by the United Arab Emirates (UAE), according to The Washington Post, citing sources familiar with the conclusions of American intelligence.
According to interlocutors of the edition, the analysis of information collected by U.S. intelligence, showed that on may 23 senior members of the UAE government “discussed the plan and its implementation”. The sources noted that it remains unclear whether the hacker attack executed by the UAE or have been hired by third parties.
