VTSIOM found the main fears of Russians
MOSCOW, 17 Jul — RIA Novosti. The Russians were more afraid of rising prices and the possibility of a military conflict, it follows from the results of the study of the all-Russia centre of studying of public opinion (VTSIOM).
Polls noted the increased level of tension on the “map of fear” of the Russians from the beginning of the year. Most of the indicators, according to the sociologists, “significantly higher than the comparable periods last year and two years ago”.

“The fears index on the first issue, from may to June, increased from 23 to 27 points (in January it was equal to 17 points). The indicator that demonstrates the level of fears of Russians concerning military conflicts, rose to 19 in March and since then is in the range of 19-20 points,” — said in the study.
Health problems and difficulty obtaining medical care for the Russians are in third place in the ranking of fears. However, the value of this index increased from zero in the beginning of the year to 8 points in June.
The anxiety of Russians about the internal strife and conflicts has increased markedly in April (from -5 in January, up 6 points), but in June the figure dropped to 1 point. A similar trend sociologists have noted in relation to the level of fear of crime: in April the maximum was recorded in the current year (7 points vs. 1 point in January), and in June, the index was 3 points.
