The state Duma ratified the Protocol to the agreement between Moscow and Damascus on the placement of the aviation group of the Russian Armed forces on the territory of Syria. About it reports “Interfax” on Friday, July 14.
The document, in particular, regulates the placement of air group and its movable and immovable property. It stipulates that the external protection of places of deployment of Russian military is carried out by the Syrian side, air defence and internal security — Russia.
The head of the Duma Committee on defense Vladimir Shamanov said that in the near future the lower chamber of Parliament plans to ratify the agreement on the extension of the technical capabilities of the naval fleet in Tartus.
The President of Russia Vladimir Putin has submitted for consideration the lower chamber of Parliament a document, regulating the placement of air group VC Russia on the territory of middle East States, 6 July.
In March last year, Putin ordered to withdraw from Syria a large part of the group videoconferencing in connection with the successful performance of tasks.
