Alex Erchov
Russia’s new Ambassador to Turkey, Alexei erchov arrived to work in Ankara. About it RIA Novosti said the acting press-attache of the Embassy Alexander Leshukov.
At the airport, the diplomat met the Director of the Protocol Department of Turkish Ministry of foreign Affairs of Sevki Mutevellioglu. Copies of credentials will be awarded on Monday, July 17.
Saturday erchov will participate in a special session of Parliament on the anniversary of the attempted coup. At this event he was invited by the Chairman of the Turkish Parliament, Ibrahim Kahraman in agreement with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Russian President Vladimir Putin in June Erchova appointed Ambassador to Turkey. Erchov previously worked at the Embassy in Egypt, held the post of Consul General in Istanbul.
The previous Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov was killed in Ankara in December 2016. His duties laid on the Minister-Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in Ankara, Sergei Panov, who was appointed interim Trustee.
