School in the Afghan city of Kunduz came under attack from the air. When the strike on the school and the nearby home suffered three children, said on Saturday, July 15, the Xinhua news Agency, citing local authorities.
As explained by the Director of the Department of education of the province of Janat Gul Nasiri (Gul Nasiri), all three of the wounded were in the house. At school, he said, was empty, as the attack was carried out early in the morning (about four o’clock local time).
He added that damaged more than a dozen shops near the school.
About who attacked, not officially reported, but local authorities blamed the coalition led by the USA, which earlier in the day bombed positions of terrorists in the region. The Pentagon reported that the attack eliminated the leader of the cell of the “Islamic state” (a group banned in Russia) in Afghanistan.
Neither the Afghan security service, nor the American military has not yet commented on the incident.
Currently in Afghanistan there are 8.5 thousand of American soldiers and 4.5 thousand soldiers of NATO countries. The situation in the country in recent months has deteriorated. Radical movement “Taliban” launched a major offensive against the city.
