The Moscow regional Duma gave the government of the Moscow region the power to establish and change the boundaries of the so-called “green shield” around the capital. About it reports on Friday, July 14, the TV channel “360” with reference to the press service of the regional Parliament.
According to the amendments to the law “About the government of the Moscow region”, the regional authorities, local authorities and NGOs can initiate the creation of a forested green belt around Moscow.
The document also spelled out a list of land that cannot be included in the “green shield”, said the TV channel.
Was also set fines for cutting trees in the “green belt”: for individuals it will be five thousand rubles, for officials and individual businessmen — from 20 thousand to 40 thousand.
On 24 may, the Governor of Moscow region Andrei Vorobyov flew by helicopter fire stations in the East region, followed by a meeting with the heads of departments of the Ministry of emergency situations and forestry.
