The President of the United States Donald trump is fighting against the Congress political game — expressing support for sanctions against Russia, he makes concessions in order to retain the right to lift these restrictions, said the first Deputy head of the international Committee of the Federation Council Vladimir Jabbarov.
On Monday, the Director of legislative activities at the White house mark short said that the United States supports the sanctions contained in the bill for Russia and Iran, but does not approve of measures that limit the powers of the President in this matter.
“Speaking about the support of anti-Russian sanctions, Donald trump is some concessions in relation to the Congress, seeking to retain the right to lift the restrictions,” — said dzhabarov RIA Novosti on Tuesday, calling the actions of the President of the United States a “political game”.
The Senator noted that the West is more and more talk from the dangers of sanctions, business has long been looking for ways around the restrictions, creating new opportunities for cooperation.
The Senate of the U.S. Congress on 15 June approved a bill providing for new sanctions against Russia and Iran. The bill, in particular, proposes to reduce the maximum term of market financing of Russian banks under sanctions, up to 14 days, of the companies subjected to the oil and gas sector — up to 30 days.
The document also suggests that the US President can impose sanctions on persons intending to invest in the construction of Russian export pipelines over $ 5 million a year or $ 1 million lump sum, or provide the projects, services, technology, to provide information support.
The bill has not yet passed the house of representatives and, accordingly, was not signed by the President of the United States.
