The protection of basic human rights to a decent life will be one of the priorities of the new composition of the Public chamber of Russia, told reporters Secretary of the public chamber Valery Fadeev.
“Citizens expect from the Public chamber to protect their rights. Here we are talking not only about political rights… We will concentrate on other basic rights — to work, to housing, to health care. We will concentrate on the human right to a decent life”, — said Fadeev at a press conference.
He explained that this request citizens to show public opinion polls.

The new composition of the Public chamber was formed in three stages: 40 were approved by presidential decree on 20 March, 84 — delegated public chambers of subjects of Federation, 43 members were selected from 403 candidates from NGOs by voting. The first plenary meeting of members of the house of the sixth composition of the Public chamber took place in June. During the meeting, Secretary OP the Russian Federation was elected as a journalist and public activist Valery Fadeev.
