The state Duma adopted the text of the oath of Russian citizenship
MOSCOW, 12 APR — RIA Novosti. The state Duma approved the text of the oath at the introduction into citizenship of the Russian Federation, according to which the citizen will have to swear to observe the Constitution, respect its culture and history.
On the text of the oath from the beginning of June, a team of deputies, the final document was supported by the leaders of all factions. The text of the oath will be made in the form of amendments to the second reading of the bill, which deals with the abolition of decisions on the acquisition of Russian citizenship by persons who received it with false documents or with intent to commit a crime of extremist or terrorist nature.

As the head of the Duma Committee on state construction and legislation Pavel Krasheninnikov, the Russian passport will be issued immediately after taking the oath. “It is very important that the oath will have no legal character, the swearing-in ceremony will be held in a festive atmosphere,” — said the Deputy.
It is established that the procedure of taking the oath will be regulated by the presidential decree.
