The decision on nomination of the mayor of Yekaterinburg Yevgeny Roizman as a candidate for Governor of the Sverdlovsk region should adopt a regional branch of party “the Apple”, and not the Federal Bureau. This was stated by a member of the CEC of Russia Yevgeny Shevchenko, reports TASS on Wednesday, July 12.
He explained that the law allows the Central leadership of the party to nominate candidates for deputies of the legislative Assembly, but not on the post of the higher official of the subject. In addition, coordinating candidate Roizman, Apple has violated its own Charter, said Shevchenko.
According to him, the CEC has held consultations with party lawyers, after which he was found “legally impeccable option that can be implemented optionally within a couple of days.” Apple, as noted by Shevchenko, has agreed with the claims, but later the Chairman of the party Emilia Slabunov stated otherwise.
In order to legally nominate a candidate Roizman, “Apple”, you must re-register at least three members of the Sverdlovsk branch and to hold a meeting, explained the representative of the Commission. The CEC head Ella Pamfilova said that the political movement has until July 21.

Pamfilova also admitted that she is “tired of the lies in the media,” when some candidates are accusing the electoral Commission in that it creates obstacles for them. “If we are guilty of something, we always acknowledge and apologize, we all make mistakes. June 21, Federal Bureau of Yabloko agreed on the candidacy of Roizman to participate in the gubernatorial election. Earlier in the day, it suspended the authority of the leadership of the regional cells, which refused to nominate a mayor candidate.
