MOSCOW, 11 Dec — RIA Novosti. The United States conducted a successful test of the THAAD missile defense system against ballistic missiles of average range, according to the Fox News channel.
According to TV channel, posted on the Alaska missile defense system successfully intercepted a rocket launched from the Northern part of Hawaii.
“I feel immense pride for the government and contractor team that conducted these tests today. These tests also demonstrated the potential of the THAAD system and its ability to intercept and destroy threat ballistic missiles”, — quotes TV channel of a word of the head of the missile defense Agency Sam Grieves.
According to Grieves, the missile defense system will protect the country “from a real and growing threat.”
