WASHINGTON, July 11. /TASS/. The Congressman-Democrat US don Beyer introduced Monday in the House of representatives of the Congress of the United States amendment to draft defense budget for 2018 (United States starts in 1 October — approx. TASS), which prohibits the allocation of funds for the creation of any joint projects with Russia to ensure security in cyberspace. This is stated in the published on its website a statement.
“Beyer this morning introduced an amendment to the draft defense budget, which forbids the Federal government and the administration [of US President Donald] trump to perform any agreement on cybersecurity between the President and Russian leader Vladimir Putin”, — stated in the document.
“The proposal by Donald trump to form a “group on cyber security” Putin is a terrible idea, which immediately jeopardize American cybersecurity,” says the Congressman.
A similar amendment to the defense budget was introduced on Monday and his fellow party member, member of the house of representatives Ruben Gallego. The document “prohibits the transmission of information about cybersecurity Russia without the approval of Congress.”
As stated on 7 July, the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov, Putin and trump at their first meeting in Hamburg “has devoted considerable attention to cyber security issues.” In combat in particular terrorism, organized crime, hackers “will create a joint bilateral working group”, he said. Later, however, trump wrote in his microblog on Twitter, that does not believe in the possibility of establishing a bilateral group on cyber security.
