Scientists have found a way of dealing with insomnia
American scientists from northwestern University in Chicago found that people with strong attitudes and aspirations very rarely experience problems with sleep.
The study involved more than 800 people aged 60 to 100 years.
They answered questions related to the quality of sleep and life motivation. To evaluate the performance of purpose, participants were asked to rate such statements as “I feel good when I think about what I did in the past, and what I hope to do in the future.”
It turned out that people who felt their lives significant, slept peacefully, not suffering sleep apnea or restless legs syndrome, reports The Guardian.
Insomnia and other sleep disorders are more common in people in the elderly, but the results of the study can also be applied to other age groups.
