The US President Donald trump said that it was time to move on in a constructive cooperation with Russia. About this American leader wrote on Twitter.
“We agreed on the truce in the parts of Syria that will save lives. It is time to move on in a constructive cooperation with Russia,” wrote trump.
Another message of the American President addressed the issue of the alleged interference of Moscow in elections in the United States. Trump wrote that the Russian leader Vladimir Putin strongly denied the allegations. “I twice firmly asked President Putin about the Russian intervention in our elections. It is categorically rejected,” wrote the head of the White house.
Previously, the newspaper the New York Times reported that the discussion of the question of possible Russian intervention in elections in the United States took trump and Putin for about 40 minutes. The publication claims that the President of Russia “loudly demanded evidence” of Moscow’s interference. In the end, trump said his Russian counterpart that it was time to move on to other issues.
Putin himself on Saturday at a press conference said that trump paid a lot of attention to the question of alleged Russian interference in the election process in the United States. And, according to the Russian President, the head of the White house “took his arguments about non-interference of Moscow”.
The first meeting of Putin and trump took place on 7 July and lasted more than two hours.
