Sergey Shnurov became President of the “Invasion”
MOSCOW, 9 Aug — RIA Novosti. The leader of group “Leningrad” Sergey Shnurov won the election for President of the “Invasion”, this was stated by the head of the Central election Commission of Russia Ella Pamfilova.
The primary stage of the elections took place from 7 to 9 July 2017 at the festival “Invasion”. Everyone could come to polling station and vote for your favourite artist, but only once.
To the outcome of the vote was counted honestly and quickly, the organizers have secured the participation in the electoral process, the CEC of the Russian Federation and personally its President Ella Pamfilova. During the elections, even managed to stop ballot stuffing.
In the presidential race was attended by other eminent musicians including Yuri Shevchuk, Vyacheslav Butusov, Konstantin Kinchev and Valery Kipelov.
“Invasion” — one of Russia’s largest festivals rock music under the open sky. It is held annually since 1999.
