Kusturitsa considers Putin a good man and friend of Serbia
According to filmmaker, with the arrival of the Russian leader to power of “the Serbian people felt respect for myself.”

Modern civilization is on the brink of chaos, fueled by actions of the Western powers, but they cannot break Russia, whose President Vladimir Putin — “a good man” and a friend of Serbia. This opinion of the Serbian filmmaker and musician Emir Kusturica said in an interview with French newspaper Le Journal du dimanche published on Sunday.

As said Kusturica, he is extremely concerned about the current state of humanity. “I don’t trust our civilization, which has never been questioned. We are now experiencing a terrible period because of the mistakes of the past — since the invention of the radio we are trying all possible means to control each other. You can’t rewind film and to erase our past stupidity — we have to pay the price for it and accept the consequences: we are now entering the stage of final destruction,” he said.
His gloomy forecast filmmaker partly associated with the coming to power of U.S. President Donald trump. “I was against Hillary Clinton because she bombed my country. In the middle Eastern chaos, Western leaders destroyed the regimes one after the other — it is the nature of capitalism. Now they try to come to Russia, but it’s not easy. There Napoleon failed, Hitler, too, and now trump,” — said Kusturica.
Speaking about his attitude to Russia, the Director acknowledged that the heat belongs to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
