“We said (President Putin) about this and about the sanctions that are now in Congress. We insisted that this (election) is a serious issue,” he said.
“But the two presidents focused on how we will move forward. For me it is not clear whether we can ever come to an understanding between the two Nations. The question is, what do we do now,” he added.
In the U.S. Congress are independent of the investigation about the “Russian interference” in the US presidential election, which was won by Donald trump. A similar investigation leads the FBI.
