Yevgeny Roizman
Mayor of Yekaterinburg Yevgeny Roizman has collected less than a third of signatures of municipal deputies necessary for participation in elections of the Governor of Sverdlovsk region. About this he wrote on his page “Vkontakte”.
According to the mayor, his nomination was supported by 39 local deputies, just to pass the municipal filter 126. “Likely to be less — said Roizman. But without my participation is not a choice, and role-playing games.”
The deadline for the submission of documents, including signature lists for candidate registration to the post of head of Sverdlovsk region ends July 26.
On 30 June the head of the Central election Commission Ella Pamfilova said that the nomination of the mayor of Yekaterinburg, mistakes were made. She called the party “the Apple”, which Roizman plans to participate in the gubernatorial campaign, promptly remedy the defects.
Earlier this month, the Federal leadership of Yabloko agreed on the candidacy of the mayor to participate in the elections. Initially this question was to consider a regional cell of party, however, the conference fell through due to the protest of the leadership of the Sverdlovsk Yabloko against Roizman.
On 21 June the head of the Moscow branch of the party “Yabloko” Sergei Mitrokhin said the National news service (NSN), that Roizman may have problems with the collection of signatures. “He’s too strong candidate for the authorities of the Sverdlovsk region, they are afraid of him and likely to put a spoke in the wheel” — said Mitrokhin.
Elections in the Sverdlovsk region will be held September 10. In addition to Roizman, this post claimed, in particular, acting head of the region Evgeny Kuyvashev (United Russia), candidate from the Communist party Alexey Parfenov, member of LDPR Igor Toroshin and the representative “Fair Russia” Dmitry Jonas. On gubernatorial ambitions, also said the teacher Eugene Chudnovets, convicted repost in the social network, and winner of the Olympic games 2004 athletics Olesya Krasovec, but in the list of candidates on the website of the regional election Committee they are not specified.
