The driver’s recognition of the rights of citizens of Kyrgyzstan on the territory of Russia did not provoke an increase in road accidents, said the Chairman of the Duma Committee on international Affairs Leonid Slutsky. His words are in the statement, received by the editors”.ru” on Wednesday, July 5.
“The drivers of Kyrgyzstan will not allow an accident on the territory of Russia. I am responsible for my words, because we studied in detail the system of training of drivers in Kyrgyzstan and present their professional level, as well as proficiency in the Russian language”, — said the MP.
Slutsky stressed that the Central Asian Republic today “is a country-example in the post-Soviet space to study and support the Russian language.” In his opinion, this is enough to provide “real support”.
The former President of Kyrgyzstan Askar Akaev said in an interview with the National news service (NSN), that knowing the Russian language, which has in the Republic of official status that allows visitors from this country to take the jobs. “All migrants from Kyrgyzstan work in the service sector (restaurants, hotels), government, educational and research institutions. They work there only because of good knowledge of the Russian language and culture,” — said Akayev. He added that the text on driving permits in Kyrgyzstan is written in Russian.
Earlier Wednesday it was reported that deputies of the lower house of Parliament have prepared an appeal to the President of Russia Vladimir Putin with the request to allow the citizens of Kyrgyzstan to work in the field of transportation of foreign national or international driving licenses.
From June 1 to work in this field can only drivers with Russian rights. It is noted that this provision largely due to insufficient command of Russian drivers-foreigners. Meanwhile, the MPs believe that the citizens of the Kyrgyz Republic are fluent in the Russian language.
