The Russian Embassy in the United States is considering the arrest of Russian citizen Yuri Martysheva as another case of kidnapping compatriots American authorities. According to diplomats, Washington again broke the existing bilateral Agreement on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters of 1999, reports RIA Novosti.
The Embassy noted that in the course of the incident and keep the situation under control. According to them, Martysheva turns out to consular assistance, will soon be visits by consular officers in prison.
The Embassy also demanded from the American side “unconditional respect for the rights and interests of Russian citizens”.
Martyshev was transferred to the United States authorities of Latvia. It is unknown what he is accused.
