Russian pilot Konstantin Yaroshenko, serving a 20-year sentence in an American prison, wrote a letter to the President of the United States Donald Trump. This is reported by “Izvestia”.
According to the newspaper, on 4 July the appeal was sent to the White house through the Embassy of Russia in Washington. In this Yaroshenko said that serving a sentence for an illegal and unjust sentence, but hopes for humanity.
“The language barrier brings me a big problem. I can’t fully explain their health problems and are unable to seek medical help. I do not fully understand the orders of the officers of the prison, which entails serious consequences,” complains the pilot.
A letter to the American leader has sent his wife and daughter Yaroshenko. “Return my husband home will contribute to the establishment of relations between Russia and the United States, and certainly will not remain unnoticed”, — says Victoria, wife of the Russian.
Last year, “Izvestiya” reported that the pilot can be withdrawn after the entry of the trump in the position of President of the United States.
Yaroshenko was sentenced by a U.S. court to 20 years in prison in September 2011. He was convicted of conspiracy to smuggle drugs. In the U.S. it was brought from Liberia, where he was arrested on may 28, 2010. Worked under cover agents of the Federal administration in the United States to combat drug trafficking allegedly caught the Russians in a criminal intent on the transportation of large quantities of cocaine.
