The cause of the collision of a passenger bus with a truck on the highway Almetyevsk — Zainsk could be the speeding bus driver. Also, perhaps affected by fatigue of the driver. This was stated by Deputy head of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Russia Sergey Dobryakov, writes TASS.
“While not proven, but there is reason to believe that the driver was fatigued, (…) which led in turn to what was not selected safe distance and do not respect the speed limit”, — quotes Agency the words Dobryakova.
According to him, the limit of speed on the stretch of highway where the accident occurred, is 70 kilometers per hour. The bus, according to GLONASS, moving at a speed of about 87 miles per hour.
On the night of July 2 at the 52nd kilometer of the highway Almetyevsk — Zainsk bus “Neoplan” collided with a MAN truck, towed on a rigid hitch car “KAMAZ”. After hitting the bus overturned and caught fire. As previously reported, on 2 July, the collision of the bus fell off the right front wheel.
According to the interior Ministry in Tatarstan, published on the Agency’s website on Tuesday, July 4, the victims of the accident were 14 people, 12 with injuries of varying severity were hospitalized. Currently identified 13 victims.
Criminal case as regards 5 articles 264 of the criminal code (violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles, entailed on imprudence death of two or more persons).
As it became known on July 2, on suspicion in Commission of crime it was detained Director General of JSC “Eurasian Corporation of bus stations”, which owned the bus.
