The rainy summer was good for a number of rare plant species in the Moscow region. This was reported on the website of the Ministry of ecology and nature management of the Moscow region on Wednesday, 5 July.
“This year for flowering orchids has created favorable conditions early summer was cool and with a sufficient amount of rain. The plants grew big, healthy, flowering is lush and fairly long”, is given in the message words of the Minister of environment of the region Alexander Kogan.
In addition, field work, ecologists have monitored one of the few remaining in the Moscow region habitats of rare plants cnejevici (field researcher), listed in the Red book of the Moscow region and growing on the territory of the nature monument “Tyapkina swamp” (Dubna). It was found that plants also feel good.
On 3 July the Minister of emergency situations Vladimir Puchkov warned that in the middle of the summer the Russians are waiting for disasters due to rain, extreme temperatures, gusty winds.
