Bill Gates
The richest man in the world, Microsoft founder bill gates in an interview with the German newspaper Welt am Sonntag criticised European leaders, particularly the leadership of Germany, for excessive generosity towards refugees from African countries. About it writes Daily Mail.
“The more generous you are, the more talking about it, which in turn motivates more people to leave Africa,” — said the billionaire.
In his opinion, Germany will not be able to accommodate all who wish to enter Europe. Gates also said that the EU needs to complicate the Africans the way to the European continent via existing routes. At the same time, the Microsoft founder praised Chancellor Angela Merkel for the decision to continue to spend 0.7% GDP on foreign aid and called on other European leaders to follow suit.
In December last year, Reuters noted that in German society there is a high level of anxiety in relation to migrants, despite the sharp reduction in their flow. If in 2015 we moved to Germany 890 thousand refugees from the Middle East, then in 2016 was was 280 thousand people.
