U.S. Secretary of state Rex Tillerson believes that the fate of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is in the hands of Russia. He stated this during a recent meeting with the UN Secretary General, antónio Guterres, writes Foreign Policy citing sources.
According to Tillerson, the U.S. mission in Syria is limited only by the fight against the terrorist group “Islamic state” (IG, is prohibited in Russia).
